No. You license a cleaned copy of your records for a set term. Your originals stay yours, you keep using them, and the license has an end date. It is a license, not a sale. When the term ends, the permission ends with it.

Do I give up ownership of my data?

Ownership is the first worry most owners raise, and it is the right one to raise first. This page covers what a license actually grants, what the buyer receives, what happens when the term runs out, and who decides what goes into the agreement in the first place.

What is the difference between a license and a sale?

A sale transfers the thing itself, permanently. A license grants permission — to use a copy, for a stated purpose, for a set period — while the thing itself stays where it was. Your originals never move and never change. You keep running your business on them the whole time, exactly as before. What the buyer works with is a copy.

What exactly does the buyer get?

A copy with the identities taken out. Names, email addresses, phone numbers and street addresses are replaced — a person becomes "Person 01." Dates are generalized, and card numbers, bank numbers and anything about minors are removed entirely. What remains is the shape of the work: how a job came in, how it moved through your team, how it got finished. You can ask to see a cleaned sample before the process is final.

What happens when the term ends?

The permission ends with it. The raw copy the buyer received is deleted on a schedule written into your license. What the buyer holds is the cleaned version, licensed for the term you agreed to — and the agreement itself states the term, the purpose and the limits. If a term is not one you can live with, that is settled before you sign, and nothing moves until the license is right.

Who decides what goes in?

You do. You pick which systems and which years are part of the license, and the agreement lists them in writing before anything is exported. A system you leave out stays out, entirely. You and your attorney review the license before you sign it, and you sign it directly with the AI company behind the offer — not with us.

We never touch or access your data. Not during the intake, not during the export, not ever. Your records go straight from your systems to the AI company you sign with — we are never in that chain.

And your business never pays anything.
